Freezer cooking? How does that work out for you?
January 30th, 2007 at 9:03 amI had the same question as Beck.
January 30th, 2007 at 9:10 amIs that where you make up a lot of food
and freeze it for later use?
Ok I am not sure if that last comment went through?
Next to my name it read “Your comment is awaiting moderation”
Anyways, I had the same question as Beck.
January 30th, 2007 at 9:14 amIs freezer cooking wehre you make up a lot of food
then freeze it for later use? I’d be interested in
hearing what foods that you make that are “easy preperation and
few ingredients.”
I found this great site, 30daygourmet.com and printed out some freezer recipies, but lots of recipes can work. I sometimes make extra food when I cook and freeze it, but this time I was in a cooking mood and cooked a whole 6 lb. bag of chicken breasts. I found a couple of recipes and put the food in tin pans and then in a 2 gallon bag. They explain everything on the site. Two weeks ago I did pasta dishes and have about 3 in the freezer. I have one sone that’s VERY picky, doesn’t like casseroles, so I just cooked some plain chicken for him and put them in a seperate baggie and dinner is good to go.
I haven’t done the 30-80 meals some people do in one sitting, but rather I’m trying to cook a lot when I feel like cooking, because most days 5:00 rolls around and I haven’t even thought about dinner. If you want to here more on this you can visit Writer…Interrrupted and click on the posts for the last several Wednesdays or go to the website above.
