Coast more: My husband is really good at this. He coasts up to two miles sometimes without pressing on the gas. That means $$$ in our pocket. I need to get better at this because during the school year I’m just so busy rushing around I don’t pay attention to how much I press on that gas.

I have a tip! I don’t know about where you live, but bacon has gotten SO expensive in our area. It was becoming quite a rare treat when it would go on sale and I would buy it. Then one day I saw the Jennie-O turkey bacon and decided to give it a try. It is quite a bit less than pork bacon and I thought it would be worth trying at least once. Well, one time and I was hooked. There is virtually no grease that come off the slices while they cook, which not only means it is more healthy, but also that there is more meat for the price. Also less clean up, which is always great. I like the taste just as well, if not better, than regular bacon. The only drawback is that it doesn’t get very crisp, which doesn’t bother me but does bug some in my family. Still, when I can get a pound of turkey bacon for $2.23 and get as much meat as from two packages of pork bacon (which ON SALE would run me $6) then I say you can’t beat that.
