Okay, I succumbed to cyber peer pressure and joined. Do I think I’ll write 50,000 words in a month? Noooo! I don’t even think I’m going to write 5,000 words in a month, but at least I’ll be a little more motivated to sit down and write something.

My goalĀ  is not to crank out as many words as I can, but just to get my BIC (Butt in chair) writing! And I think I’ll reach my goal!

So if you’re crazy enough to do NaNo please buddy me: Portraitwriter If you’re doing NaNo, leave your NaNo name in the comment section! NaNo’s website been a bit difficult tonight so it might take some effort to find each other.

I do have a competitive spirit and think the healthy competition will spur me along! Other than that, I’m not really going to sweat it (she says as she wipes her brow.) Really!

Wow, that sounds very cool and also a tad bit stressful (which for me helps me to write…sad/scary, I know, ha!).

I’ll have to check it out, thanks for the tip and heads up!

PS - Did you ever get the “Slushies”?

WOOHOO!!! I’m so glad you caved to peer pressure :P It’ll be fun. Plus you’ll get more done than if you hadn’t joined.

I’m giving it a try too, but I really doubt I’ll get all the way to 50,000. I think, more realistically, I’ll make 20,000. I’ve never joined NaNoWriMo before, so this is kind a of a fun challenge. Having children at home sure does make it difficult, though. I have both teens and younger children who pester all of the time.

    Good luck!

No real goal other than to write. As much as I can. Whatever that is.
