Six Weird things About Me! I’ve Been Tagged. Twice!

Thanks to Margaret and Cara. Though there are probably more than six weird things about me, most of them aren’t fit for publication.

1. I love organization, but I’m a very messy person. You can blame that on my Choleric/Melancholy personality. I love to organize, but rarely follow through to the end. I guess this is evident in my three unfinished WIPs. And it’s not a great combination for homeschooling either.

2. I didn’t grow up with any men in my home, except my grandpa. Then I prayed for lots of baby boys. Now my home is dominated with testosterone. Be careful what you pray for!

3. In high school I joined a club for people who were involved in lots of clubs. I thought it was strange to have a club like that, and I can honestly say I have no idea what it was about or why I joined, but I was invited, so I joined!

4. I’ve basically had the same hair style my entire life. With my thick curly hair, I usually let it grow long, then cut it, then let it grow long, and I’ve only blown it straight half a dozen times.

5. I love the Disney Channel pre-teen and teen shows like Phil of the Future, That’s so Raven, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, and High School Musical. (But that’s probably because we don’t have cable and I only get to see them on Saturday mornings.)

6. I’ve never had cable or a satellite dish my adult life. I LOVE movies. Growing up we had cable, and HBO was my favorite station. I’d watch movie after movie and before I knew it the day would be over. When I got married, my husband and I decided not to get cable. For one thing he’s not a huge sports watcher, it costs way too much money and I can’t see paying for television, we enjoy our network shows like 24, Lost, Law & Order, and an occasional sit com, and the number one reason we don’t have cable is because if we did I would get nothing done!

Weird enough for you? I didn’t think so, but it’ll have to do. Now who to tag…whoever is brave enough to do this!

From the day I received my first diary in the second grade, I've had a passion expressing myself through writing. Later as a journalist and novelist, I realized words, if used powerfully, have the ability to touch, stir, and reach from the depths of one soul to another. Today as a writing and health coach, I inspire others to live their extraordinary life and encourage them to share their unique stories.
