The Final Countdown
Does anyone remember the eighties hair band, Europe? Today their song “The Final Countdown” has been playing over and over in my head. It sounds silly, but now that the countdown to Ruby Among Us is less than two months away, I’m really starting to get excited. “The Final Countdown” just seems so fitting.
There are so many exciting things happening that, for me, are novelties. Take for instance bookmarks. I never knew that seeing a bookmark with my name, picture, and novel would be so cool! My publisher sent me some beautiful ones and it was almost as exciting as when I first saw the Advance Reading Copies of my book.
Receiving endorsements has been very, very neat and truly humbling, as well. I don’t want to give them all away before the publisher does, so I won’t list them here, but I am very blessed and grateful.
And then there are the reviews. A few of them have already gone up at various places around the web and it is truly exciting to see that they are pretty good so far. Of course, the major ones are not in yet. It’s still entirely too early, but as quickly as the clock seems to be ticking, it is only a matter of time before the other reviews come in and Ruby Among Us will be off.
It is a beautiful journey. I’m tired, excited, stressed out, worried, and joyous all at the same time.
Review Links: Gina, the founder of WI, asked if I had links to those reviews. Here they are:
