Praying the ABC’s

My daughter has been learning the sounds for the alphabet and how to write her letters in preschool. The ABC song is now the song of choice in our car every morning. We pray every morning on the way to school too. Recently she said, “Mommy, let’s pray our ABC’s this morning.” Not a bad idea.

Lord,

Thank you for the armor you give us for protection. Please place your anointing on my life. Give me boldness to share you with others and pour your blessings on me. I need your compassion and caring. Please deliver me from evil today and discipline me if needed. Encourage me as I seek to do your will and let me see evidence of you everywhere. Increase my faith. Thank you for the freedom only you can give. Give me guidance. I need your help for holiness. I need your inspiration. Your joy is my strength. Grant me knowledge. Thank you for your love. Lead me on the paths you have marked out for me. I need your mercy and some miracles would be great! Thank you for meeting all of my needs. Help me to be obedient. Give me patience and let me feel your peace resting on me. Let me be quiet and still and know that you alone are God. Renew and refresh me. Thank you for your salvation. Help me to trust you more. Give me understanding. Praise you for the victory you have already provided for us. Give me wisdom to do your will. Please X out my transgressions and give me an extra measure of your grace. Help me to exchange my heavy burdens for your easy yoke. Consume me with zeal for you.
