Embrace the Season
I’m in a season of transition in my writing and personal life, and Writer…Interrupted will be going into a season of transition as well.
I’m still waiting to hear back from the remaining editors who still have my WIP and as far as I’m concerned no news is good news. In the meantime I’m trying to work on my new WIP, but only manage to write 3,000 words a week. But I’m not anxious about this WIP either. I guess I’m finally getting comfortable in the season God has me in which seems to be homeschooling and moving into a new home. I squeeze in writing when I can and have a planned weekly writing day. Some weeks I write more, some weeks less.
We’re almost into our new fixer upper and as I continue to move things in little by little it’s starting to feel like home! We hope to be totally moved in before Thanksgiving, but our new home has still not sold and we could use all the prayers we can get!
On Writer…Interrupted news, you might have noticed that the daily postings are slacking here and there. I apologize for not keeping on top of things, but I’m in the process of redesigning this site and rethinking what I want to do with Writer…Interrupted. One of the options is to go to a monthly ezine format. I’m also trying a newsletter, so it you’d like to be on the list, please email me at Portraitwriter @ gmail . com (no spaces.)
Lastly, as we move into the holiday season it’s predictable that we’ll be more interrupted than normal. My advice: Embrace it and don’t fight it. God knows want he’s doing and he’s in control of your life and career. Slow down the pace this season and really engage in the moments shared with family. Now if you’re on deadline, sorry, I have no advice for you, but you can pop on over to Writer…Interrupted: The Community. and I’m sure someone there can relate! 😉
