Best Mother's Day Poem EVER
My daughter (9 next week) grew up watching her mom at the computer. I’d often hear “you’re always on your ‘puter” come from her as she wiggled up on my lap as I typed at the keyboard. That’s when I really started to take a look at how I could manage my dreams with my most important job in the world, raising my family. I’d be lying if I said I got it right all the time, and too often I heard “you never play with me” come from that same little mouth, but there’s no doubt that this little girl (well, not so little anymore) knows her mama loves her.
I was presented with this card and poem this morning on Mother’s Day.
My mom is a writer. She is kind. She is loving. She’s the best mom I could ever find.
My mother cleans all day and sometimes can play.
My mother cooks and cleans and takes care of everyone. I hope she thinks it’s fun.
She shops for food and she shops for stuff
and she helps us kids who are “diamonds in the rough.”
My mom disciplines and does things I don’t like,
but still I love her very, very much. She’s been my mom since I was a tike.
