Life Church: Peace of Mind

I’m watching a series from Life Church called “Peace of Mind.” This particular episode on trauma and depression was really powerful. Here are my takeaways.

When we experience trauma, instead of seeking healing through connection, we prioritize protection. And you’ve heard the saying, hurt people hurt people. If you’ve experienced trauma of any kind, know that…

😢Your feelings are valid.

💔Your trauma was not your fault.

❤️‍🩹However, your healing is your responsibility.

🙏🏼Break the cycle.

❤️Heal yourself first!

So in other words:

1. Process your trauma. Allow yourself to feel.

2. Seek God for healing and a healthy community.

3. Find purpose in your trauma = help others who are struggling.
