Distant Echoes - Gina Conroy

It’s been so long since I’ve really sat at the feet of Jesus. Sure, I commune with Him daily and say a passing prayer here or there. But I’m talking about really sitting long enough to listen to what He has to say back!

His voice has become a distant echo. One I know I am in desperate need of. And I’m hoping to take advantage of His presence this week when three out of four kids will be in VBS!

I know life has been busy. Life will always be busy. But it shouldn’t be too busy for God.

I’ve started new habits in my life. Good habits like exercising daily. I’d like to start the daily habit of serious communion with God. It may not happen every day for long periods of time. But it’s a habit worth starting.

I long for that distant echo to become a gentle whisper, and maybe some day a booming voice!
