First 20 HCG, Next 20 All ME!

It’s no secret I dropped 20 lbs fast (not easy) using homeopathic HCG. I thought about doing it for years after years of exercising 5-6 times a week with NO weightloss results and seeing overweight friends slim down on the hcg protocol. But before I actually committed to it I did my homework and decided I needed to give it a try. He’s a quick story of my decision and why I decided not to do it again:

January 2010 I decided once and for all to lose the extra pounds that had crept on my homeschooling behind. I was diligent to exercise and dieting and my morning “Never Say Diet” routine, but by the end of January I’d only lost 2 lbs. I was hoping for 1-2 lbs. a week! It was discouraging and depressing to be doing all the right things and seeing very little results. If I was going to keep on with the exercise and dieting routine I needed motivation. So I researched and prayed about HCG and talked to friends who did it and to my doctor. No red flags! I realized that I needed to jump start my weightloss and felt comfortable enough with the homeopathic drops that I decided to do it!

It wasn’t easy at first and you can fail on the protocol!! You need to be disciplined and committed to the diet and desperate enough to do it, but it does work! I dropped 18 lbs. in three weeks and felt like a new person. Finally, after years of trying to get the weight off again, I had success and that jumpstart I needed. I won’t go into all the details (unless you want) but after three weeks I tried to maintain my weight, gained 5 lbs back and learned a whole bunch about how my body retains fat and gets it off without hcg. Bottom line umbers. I did 2 rounds of 3 weeks and lost 20 lbs. I kept it off for six months through diet and exercise! Lots of exercise! The one great thing about the whole process is that I now look at food differently and I KNOW that certain foods will make me gain weight. But I don’t panic about it if I have a pasta dinner out. I know I’ll gain a lb. on the scale the next morning, but I know how to get that pound off!!

That was the first 20lb.

When January rolled around again this year I fully intended to do another round of hcg, but I was really committed to my workout routine and I didn’t want to give it up. (You can’t exercise on hcg.) So I decided to try weightloss the way millions of others have. Diet and exercise. This time I had the tools needed to succeed. I had confidence and a more intense workout schedule, plus a diet for life plan for my body!! And guess what? It’s working! After months of plateauing, I finally lost 1- 3 lbs. and am maintaining in that range and I’m hoping to continue the downward slide.

There’s been a lot of support and “mind changing” during the six months and great sites that have helped me stay the course, but I’ll share that another day!
