Stepping Out on the Ledge Toward Adventure: Petit Jean State Park, Arkansas

This pass weekend I stepped out of my comfort zone and went on a new adventure. There were plenty of reasons why I shouldn’t have gone: too much work to do, Covid-19, I don’t like camping, but earlier this year I committed to transforming all areas of my life and I came to the startling realization that I’ve been living my life from the space of “should” and “have to,” instead of creating a life that includes the things I love.

Sometimes you have to go where you have never gone to see what you’ve never seen. I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone this weekend. It wasn’t always “fun,” but it was a beautiful experience with incredible and adventurous people.

This is how I want to live the second half of my life. Getting what I “have”  out of the way (complaints, fear, comfort zone, excuses,) so I can create something new and beautiful. Who wants to journey this same road with me? Let’s plan our next adventure together!

From the day I received my first diary in the second grade, I've had a passion expressing myself through writing. Later as a journalist and novelist, I realized words, if used powerfully, have the ability to touch, stir, and reach from the depths of one soul to another. Today as a writing and health coach, I inspire others to live their extraordinary life and encourage them to share their unique stories.
