Progress Over Perfection: Week 3 Spend Quiet Time
If you’re a person who has goals and dreams, then personal growth isn’t optional, it’s essential. Whether you spend time in personal growth in the morning or evening, the fact that you’re investing in yourself will pay off in your life, business, and relationships.
So why invest in personal growth?
1. Helps you get unstuck and start moving forward. We all have blind spots in our lives or get stuck in the same way of doing something which doesn’t work anymore. That doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It could mean you’re at a new level in your life, and it’s time for more development, personally or professionally to get to the next level.
2. Builds self-confidence. Although it’s taken me a while my self-worth and value does not come from people or performance, a little confidence goes a long way! When we present a confident presence, it draws people to us instead of pushing them away. And when we engage in community and sharing, it gives life to our dreams and goals.
3. Increases your knowledge. They say knowledge is power. I say if you implement that knowledge then you can be your own superhero. Okay, I just made that up. But think about it. Most people get stuck in life because they want someone else to rescue them or don’t want to put in the work. I learned early on no one was going to rescue me, so I had to educate and strengthen myself to move forward in life. And I did, so now I’m paying it forward and hoping to encourage you to do the same!
Even though I’ve gone through seasons where I haven’t been consistent with personal growth, I always gravitate back. I have my personal favorites, what are yours?
