Healthy Habits Transform, Not Diets!

This is my amazing coach who introduced me to the health program I’m on. She lost 82 lbs., but gained so much more. Here’s what she had to say:

Most people see the space that’s no longer in the pants. That’s what they focus on. I want to point out what you don’t see:

  • You no longer see a person afraid of dying.
  • You no longer see someone whose hair is falling out due to malnutrition.
  • You no longer see someone who can’t walk a mile.
  • You no longer see someone fighting back tears because they are so tired and struggling to get through the day.
  • You no longer see a binge eater (yep, most of the time I didn’t eat and then overate in the evening).
  • You no longer see someone afraid to get in a swimsuit.
  • You no longer see a depressed person.
  • You no longer see someone who can’t wear reg calf boots.
  • You no longer see someone who could only shop at the big girl stores.
  • You no longer see anger and hate for how my health unfolded.I rid myself of a lot of baggage, actually an entire pant leg of it!

I couldn’t have done this on a diet. A diet would have painfully gotten me to my goal and I would have returned to all the places of pain mentioned above. Instead, I chose to embrace the education component of my program and do some digging. I repaired my mental roof, I fortified the walls, I replaced the lock and in some cases threw away the key to some rooms so I would never revisit the room again, I cleaned the windows so I could see (no pun intended as I am losing vision😂), and I seeded the yard.

Bottom line, I didn’t enlist in a diet. Heck, I’m so successful with it I have actually had people tag me in their diet pills and poisons so that it would look like I took that to lose weight. That’s how bad they want you to buy their pills. They know it isn’t healthy, and they can’t find their own success stories to share. Not us. We show you real people that have stories just like mine. So the challenge today is to clean your window so you can see. Don’t be screened by pills. Healthy habits have to replace what you used to do for true change to transform your life. Healthy habits transform, not diets! If we are tired of who we’ve become, we have to transform who we are and surrender the old habits.
