52 Weeks of Progress Over Perfection: Week 1 Make Your Bed

I’m starting off a weekly series to help you make progress in your life, one healthy habit at a time.

First up, making your bed. Making your bed may seem insignificant, but it’s not. Do this one task every morning and you’ll start your day off with an accomplishment that will help declutter your space and mind so you can tackle other tasks

Still not convinced? Neither was I at first. After all, I worked a lot in my bed on the computer, so why should I make it? Besides, with my busy schedule, I really didn’t have the time.

Then one day I tried it and timed myself. It took me less than a minute, minus all the pillows I needed to throw on the bed. Such a little investment for a BIG return.

What I discovered was when I made my bed, I felt peace whenever I walked into my bedroom. That peace calmed my mind for the rest of the day so I could focus on all the things I needed to do! Now I use the Cue system I teach my clients and have made making my bed a habit! When the water is heating up in the shower, that is my cue to make my bed. My inner peace is always in tact whenever I make my bed. You should try it and start transforming your life one habit at at time!
